Skateboarding has long had an impact on style and fashion. Since there are no uniforms as there are in many other sports, skate boarders have created their own sense of style. You can see examples of skate stly being worn in the skate parks as well as on the streets by amateurs, wannabes, and fans of skateboarding alike. Most companies that manufacture skateboards also have an accompanying clothing line consisting of T shirts hats, shorts, and pants. companies such as Airwalk and Vans make sneakers especially for skateboarding. Non skaters are now wearing these sneakers too

We all know the saying "Don't try this at home" with skateboarding there's a reason to listen to that saying. When you see the pros on television or at a competition making the tricks look easy, it's because the have been training hard for a long time. The only way to learn how to pull of the big tricks is with practice patience, and most important attention to all the rules of safety before going out on the street or riding a ramp. Remember that if you don't wear your safety gear, you won't be around to get good at skateboarding or anything else.

Many California kids became better and better to the point that a alot of them became pros

SIDE WALK SURFING

Surfing had a huge impact on skating, and skateboards got some of their style from surfing. In fact, skateboarding was sometimes called sidewalk surfing. It looks similar to riding a surfboard, but the similarities aren't as strong as they may seem. surfing is restricted to water, but even though skateboarding is restricted to land, anything can become a skaters wave. many skater made objects their personal ocean, a lot of skaters fro other citys were moving to L.A. California was the heart of the skating world. a park bench it was no longer a park bench it was an object that skaters would cross or jump over it, and obsticles were no longer that, but also the potential sources of new tricks, and this is what the cops use now in days to charge a skater, damaging property.

in skateboarding whats's extreme for you might not be extreme to the next person. and what's extreme to that person might be tame to you. you see, ''extreme'' is relative. its something different for everybody.

skateboarding qualifies, as an extreme sport, back then if you owned a skateboard, you were pretty extreme. you were extreme because you were different. today is not simple millions of people skateboard. to be extreme today is you need to do the biggest ollies and the wildest trick, and do them in style. that's extreme.

today we have x Games, a sort of miniature Olympics for extreme sports, back then was hard to be a extreme superstar but now because of the extreme games a lot of new artist come around and do all kinds of tricks which are dangerous, now we have bike, climbing wall, snowboarding, etc, many people do this kind of thins to outlet there self our loud and wild inside of us, because most of us follow rules from school and work. some sports are too extreme and some are less, over all skateboarding has no boundaries. with practice you can take it to the extreme.
